Here is one thing completely different from normal cars. It is the command center of the car, with a wide variety of buttons, switches, toggles and a display.

The driver controls everything through the wheel, from gears, to breaking and fuel mixture. It is much smaller than a regular wheel and removable in order for the driver to enter and leave the cockpit. The rules say that a driver has 5 seconds to leave the car.
