5. The Team
A F1 team needs around 100 people to function properly. These are real professionals in their respective fields, and everything needs to move smoothly for the driver and the whole team to be successful. When it comes to the boss, the car manufacturers own some teams, and some are private.
Ferrari’s boss is for example the CEO of the whole company, while owner-bosses are Frank Williams (Williams) and Ron Dennis (McLaren). There are other important positions, like the commercial director, technical director, chief aerodynamicist, chief designer and the chief of R&D.
